Cash boost for city’s homeless

Have your say

FUNDRAISING events held by youth organisation Sheffield Futures have raised £560 for popular city charity HARC - Homeless and Rootless at Christmas.

Marketing manager Emma Taylor said: “Sheffield Futures is proud to support HARC year on year. The events saw the public being generous with their purses and our volunteers were generous in spirit, both giving more than was asked.”

HARC team worker Rachel Newman said: “These fundraising efforts go a long way to putting a smile on the face of everyone they come into contact with.”

HARC committee member Mark Lawton added: “We’d like to say a big thank you to Sheffield Futures. We serve between 150 to 200 homeless each day over the ten day Christmas period we’re open and food costs are high.”
