Cash aid for OAP homes
OLDER people in Sheffield are benefiting from almost £1 million of grants handed out by the city council.
The cash is being distributed to 84 care homes as part of the Government’s Dignity in Care campaign.
The amount allocated to each home depends on the number of people looked after there and ranges from 5,000 to 29,680.
Projects range from garden improvements to providing new equipment and furniture to help residents to be more comfortable and independent.
