Cars set alight in arson attacks in South Yorkshire

Investigations are underway into arson attacks in which cars were set alight.

A Volkswagen Polo was torched in Girth Drive, Thurcroft, Rotherham and another car was fired in High Stone Avenue, Worsbrough Common, Barnsley, in the early hours of Tuesday.

In the early hours of Sunday a car was set alight in Concord Road, Shiregreen, Sheffield.

Firefighters also dealt with a pile of rubbish set alight in a derelict building in Everill Gate Lane, Wombwell, Barnsley.
