Carols for care homes

Have your say

THEY came and sang their hearts out.

Residents from care homes in Sheffield run by charity Sheffcare took part in some Christmas celebrations with a service of readings and music at Sheffield Cathedral.

Students from Walkley Primary School joined the Sterndale singers for the festive carol service, which was followed by refreshments in the cathedral’s Burrows Transept.

SheffCare is a registered charity which began operating as a not for profit company in 1993 and now runs 11 care homes in the city.

Among those taking part in the service was Lord Mayor of Sheffield John Campbell.
