Caretaker will cut costs

Tickhill Town Council is advertising for a caretaker for the Tithes Lane Pavilion in a bid to cut costs.

The council is appointing the caretaker in place of the four pavilion assistants who between them have worked for the council for 50 years.

The attendants have now been made redundant in an effort by the council to save money.

The duties included in the job of caretaker will include responsibility for controlling the pavilion and sports facilities bookings system, handling small amounts of cash and undertaking cleaning duties.

The closing date for applications is Sunday, June 12.

More information can be obtained from the temporary council clerk, Alan Jillott, who can be contacted on 01909 591706.
