A ‘Carers’ Rights Day’ is to be held in Rotherham for those caring for friends or relatives.
The event at Magna Science and Adventure Centre has been organised by Rotherham Council to give people the chance to speak to organisations involved in providing support and advice to carers.
Councillor David Roche, Cabinet Advisory member for Adult Social Care and Health, said: “Carers’ Rights Day provides an opportunity for us to meet local carers and ensure they are getting the right level of support.
“I hope that as many carers as possible will be able to attend the workshop so that we can work together and celebrate the important work they do every day.”
The event is to be held on Friday, November 20 from 10.30am until 1.30pm.
