Car trickster robs woman
A CONMAN duped a Doncaster woman by pretending to be the victim of a crime.
The woman was visited at home on Carr House Road by a trickster who claimed his car had been parked nearby and stolen. He told her he had no means of getting home, so the woman loaned him 10 “for his train fare to Retford”.
The caller left his details, saying he would return the cash, but a subsequent check showed his details to be false. The cash has not been repaid.
The man was white, aged about 40, with sandy clean-cut hair.
The incident happened on Monday evening.
