Car flips over on M1 near Sheffield after driver swerved to avoid hitting a PHEASANT

A car was flipped upside down on the M1 between Sheffield and Rotherham earlier today (Monday, September 21) after a driver swerved off the road to avoid hitting a pheasant.

The driver suffered minor injuries despite the shocking pictures of the crash, according to South Yorkshire Police.

Officers attended the scene alongside Highways England earlier today and thanked motorists for their patience in a tweet.
