Car flips after crashing into bollard on Sheffield street

A car flipped and crashed into another vehicle after colliding with a bollard on a Sheffield street before two people inside it fled the scene.

A black BMW was travelling along Maltravers Road toward the junction with White's Lane, Park Hill, at around 8.20pm on Saturday when it was in collision with a bolalrd.

The car overturned and collided with a gold Hyundai Santa FA, before coming to rest on White's Lane.

Police said the two occupants of the BMW left the scene and a passenger in the Hyundai suffered a minor head injury.

The windscreen of a third vehicle, a parked silver Land Rover Discovery, was damaged by concrete from the bollard.

Anyone who saw the collision, the BMW prior to the collision or the occupants leave the scene should call police on 101, quoting incident 967 of July 14.
