Car dealership’s lighting plans

Have your say

A CAR dealership has been granted permission to have lights in use throughout the night to improve security - despite concerns from nearby residents.

Sheffield Council’s city centre, south and east planning board approved the application for Gilder Group, Bochum Parkway, Meadowhead, after hearing the distance of 70m from the nearest home meant it would ‘not present an unacceptable intrusion’.

There were two letters of objection from residents of nearby Norton Lane, but planning officers said lighting proposed was ‘well within’ acceptable guidelines’.
