Candy all ready for African trek

SHEFFIELD businessman John Graham is backing a woman’s bid to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in September for charity the Ann Conron Trust.

John, owner of the Go Outdoors store, Bramall Lane, Highfield, Sheffield, is providing 45-year-old Candy Nicholson with all the equipment she needs for the African trek.

He is supplying sleeping bags, walking poles, backpacks, boots, thermals, a coat and waterproof trousers.

Mrs Nicholson has an incurable brain condition and hopes to help other sufferers who have the same illness.

The mum-of-five will raise cash for research into Arnold Chiari malformation, which causes agonising headaches and health problems.

Mrs Nicholson said: “John has donated every single item I need for my trek – I can’t thank him enough.”
