Harry was taken in to Sheffield Cats Shelter, which is a re-homing centre for abandoned, neglected, mistreated and stray cats in need, in December 2016 after his previous owner could no longer care for him.

Ever since then, the staff at the shelter have been looking for the perfect person to take care of him - but so far, they have not been able to find them.

Rebecca Hollingworth, a worker at the shelter, said: “Harry is a beautiful cat that is with us mainly due to the fact that he has behavioural issues. We just know that he will be able to live a happy and healthy life with the right person - we just need to find the right person.”

Harry has behavioural issues because he was separated from his mum and siblings when he was not ready. At just eight-weeks-old he was sold in a pet shop.

Rebecca said: “Harry hasn’t had any major incidents for a while now, which is really promising.

“We aren’t sure exactly what the triggers to his outbursts are, but they could include sudden or loud noises, feeling trapped and without an escape route, crowded rooms, confined spaces, physical contact that carries on beyond his tolerance level or other cats.”

She added that Harry does like human interaction with people he is comfortable with at a time scale to suit him and enjoys cuddles.

Harry will need an experienced owner and a quiet home with no children or other animals.

Please arrange see Harry, by calling 0114 2724441 between 1pm to 3.30pm every day.
