Affectionate Nelly is the new girl on the block at Sheffield Animal Centre - and she is simply loving the spotlight!
The friendly lurcher cross is staying with staff at the centre as they help the young dog search for her forever home - could it be with you?
Acting Animal Care Manager Tammy Wilson said: “Nelly has a wonderful, gentle nature and she’s a really affectionate dog who simply adores everyone she meets.
“She very much enjoys human company and appears to be friendly with most dogs she is around. Nelly is a little bouncy but is generally very friendly so we believe she would be okay with sensible children who can handle enthusiastic dogs.”
“We would love to find a home for her where she will rarely be left; she is in need of lots of love and attention.”
Nelly was removed from her last home due to welfare concerns and staff are keen that her new home should be with people who will be able to spend lots of time with her, as she is not too sure about being left alone.
If you are looking for a companion dog to share your life, Nelly could well be the dog for you.
The RSPCA Sheffield Animal Centre is open daily, except Wednesday, from 12.30pm until 3.30pm and can be contacted on 0114 2898050.
If you think you might be able to give Nelly her forever home, contact the centre to arrange a ‘meet and greet.’
