Can you give this ‘cheeky’ cat a new loving home?

This ‘cheeky lad’ is Vinnie and he is looking for a new forever home after being cared for by staff at a Sheffield RSPCA centre.

Vinnie, who is a five-year-old white tabby cat, was taken to the RSPCA centre on Stadium Way in November after concerns were raised for his welfare.

Adam Spencer , of RSPCA Sheffield, said: “He would nip, growl, swipe out and hiss if he felt threatened by you in his space or around his things.

“After some time to settle and some TLC from our wonderful staff, we started to gain his trust with regular daily little visits and chats, taking along yummy goodies too.”

However, a few months on he is now ready to find a new home.

Adam said that Vinnie is now much friendlier with the people he gets to know and likes, and also that he really enjoys his food.

He added: “He has come on in leaps and bounds and he will happily sit by his favourite people and he will have gentle fusses when he is in the mood and he likes to rub and sniff around your feet while you sit with him.

“Everything does have to be on Vinnie’s terms though and he will certainly let you know if he`s not happy about something. Food is very much the way forward with this lad.

Vinnie is looking for an experienced adult home, where any children are older teens, ideally with experience of a feral or nervous cat previously.

He needs someone willing to carry on working with him to improve his confidence and handling even further.

Adam added: “Vinnie deserves a new home where he can feel happy, safe and where he can be loved and adored.

“He may never become a lap cat but he is certainly interactive and a cheeky character. Could you be the human he is waiting for?”

Vinnie does not have any health issues and he likes to eat James Wellbeloved Complete. He may be able to live with other cats and dogs, but this has not been confirmed.

If you can offer Vinnie what he needs, call 0114 289 8050 or call into the RSPCA offices, two Stadium Way. Vinnie is just one of the many cats and dogs who need re-homing after being cared for by staff at RSPCA Sheffield.
