DONKEY rides are a common holiday pastime for children - but young visitors to a Sheffield shopping centre took a trip with a difference by getting astride camels.
The camels visited Crystal Peaks shopping centre as part of a series of free attractions taking place at the mall throughout August.
Youngsters were allowed to sit on the backs of the exotic animals, called Vanessa and Kokoso, while the less brave were able to simply get up close and stroke the camels.
On Friday, entertaining character Tiny the Dinosaur will be visiting Crystal Peaks’ central atrium, for natural history shows at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
The dinosaur will be accompanied by a palaeontologist who will share facts about the prehistoric creatures.
More holiday fun will be on offer on Friday, August 31 from 10am to 4pm with the chance to beat the Textminator, a game for fans of SMS messaging with the top prize of a new iPad.
