DOZENS of residents from a Sheffield neighbourhood met with transport bosses and representatives of Asda to discuss improvements to bus services in the area.
The debate took place at Foxhill’s healthy living centre, organised by the Foxhill Forum and Southey and Owlerton Area Regeneration group.
Sharon Ashton, Foxhill representative on SOAR, said: “We discussed the current transport in the area , and also if there could be any more new changes ,that could create a better link to the new Asda store which is being built nearby and the new library learning centre at Wordsworth Avenue.
“One main point that the reps from Asda are taking back to their bosses was that we asked if we could have a free bus to the new store. We used to have one some years ago, which took residents to Asda in Chapeltown. They said they would let us know if this is possible.”
A follow-up meeting is due to be held in October.
