Voters will go to the polls on Thursday March 3 to choose who will replace disgraced politician Eric Illsley MP, in jail after being convicted of £14,500 of expenses fraud.

The line-up of candidates is: James Hockney, Conservative; Dan Jarvis, Labour; Dominic Carman, Liberal Democrats; Enis Dalton, BNP; Kevin Riddiough, English Democrats; Tony Devoy, Independent; Michael Val Davies, Independent; Howling Laud Hope, Monster Raving Loony Party; Jane Collins, UK Independence Party.

Labour is defending the seat and secured an 11,000 majority in the General Election last May.

Illsley was jailed for a year for submitting a “pattern” of fictitious expenses claims.
