Ordination services are set to take place over the next week all across the Diocese of Sheffield.
In total there will be 10 candidates being ordained deacon and a further seven as priest.
The Bishop of Doncaster, Peter Burrows, will be ordaining the deacons in Doncaster Minster this Sunday at 10.30am.
The Bishop of Sheffield, Dr Steven Croft, will be ordaining three priests.
Garry Dawson-Jones and Hannah Jackson will be ordained at Christ Church in Pitsmoor, Sheffield on Monday at 7.30pm.
And Martijn Mugge will be ordained at St Mary’s Church, Wombwell, Barnsley, on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
Bishop Burrows will also be ordaining four priests.
Ian Maher and Catherine Staziker at Holy Trinity, Millhouses, Sheffield on Tuesday and 7.30pm.
And then on Thursday the Bishop will ordain Michael Burn and Carl Chapman at Rotherham Minster at a service beginning at 7.30pm.
Church of England candidates who are called to ordained ministry are presented to their bishop at this time of the year at special services.
And deacons usually serve for one year before being presented again for ordination to the priesthood.
The deacons who will be ordained in South Yorkshire are: Philip Barringer, Toby Bassford, Stephen Beck, Daniel Brown, Karen Colley, Sarah Colver Barbara Cushing, Richard Grant, Ann Rhodes and Nolan Robson.
