Businesswomen wanted to enjoy watery world outside work

Have your say

When it comes to charity fundraising, you need a woman to help make a bigger splash.

Some of Sheffield’s best-known businessmen have signed up to support the city’s St Luke’s Hospice by diving from the high board at the Ponds Forge International Sport Centre in June - but organisers are still hoping at least one leading city businesswoman will join them.

Already signed up are, among others, Meadowhall shopping centre director Darren Pearce and Sheffield Chamber of Commerce executive director Richard Wright.

The volunteers will be entertaining guests with their dives at the city centre venue in June before joining them for a fundraising dinner in aid of the hospice’s Room To Care appeal, which is raising £5 million for a new inpatient unit at the Whirlow hospice.
