A SOUTH Yorkshire business has pledged its support to a golf club’s centenary celebration fund.

Rotherham-based communications specialist Duocall has agreed to sponsor golf score cards at Sitwell Park course, which celebrates its 100th anniversary next year.

The course was originally commissioned by landowner Sir George Sitwell and was brought to life by legendary designer Alister MacKenzie.

It attracts thousands of visitors to the area every year.

Phil Coley, director at Duocall, said: “I’ve been a member of the club for a few years, and we wanted to do something special to help support the club and its work, ahead of next year’s centenary celebrations.

“As a local business, we recognised the important role that Sitwell Park plays in attracting visitors to the area, as well as helping to nurture new golfing talent. It’s not uncommon to see people travel from all around to play.”
