Yorkshire Housing is launching a new service for its customers in South Yorkshire.

The Business Enterprise Service is available to all social housing tenants and will provide practical support and advice for those interested in starting their own business, community enterprise or working from home.

A Business Enterprise coach will provide one to one, advice for customers who have a business idea but are not sure how to get it started.

The service will also support customers with training courses, workshops and networking opportunities.

Yorkshire Housing Business Enterprise Coach Nikki Flett said: “Many social housing tenants don’t think self employment could be an option but it can be a great way to work flexibly, improve a community and earn a wage.

“However, turning a busi ness idea into reality can be daunting, as well as exciting and rewarding.

“I will be there to support customers on their journey into self-employment.”
