The timetable alterations will affect services in Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley and Rotherham.

In Sheffield, the 31/31a, 32/32a and 10/10a services will switch between January 30 and February 1 following the massive public outcry over cuts to Sheffield services last year.

Thousands of people called for the cuts, which caused weeks of frustration and confusion, to be reversed.

Other timetables have already been changed as a result of the controversy, while more double decker buses have been brought in, and a raft of further changes are expected on February 7, although those details are yet to be confirmed.

Other services affected by changes but not related to the cuts include the Sheffield services 28, 40, 41 and 181, and Rotherham services 11, 12, 15, 37, 71, 72/72a and X13 which will change from this weekend on Sunday 24 and Monday 25 January.

In Barnsley services 20, 21, 22, 22x, 26a, 28, 59, 219, 222, 226 and X19 change from Saturday January 30 and February 1. In the same time period, changes will be made to Doncaster services 219, 220, 221, 222 and X19, and Rotherham services 22, 22x, 217, 218, 221 and 228.
