Buses to be diverted in Sheffield city centre

Bus services in Sheffield city centre will be diverted tonight while building construction works are carried out.

Furnival Gate, heading uphill, and Charter Row will be closed from 8pm tonight until 6pm on Friday.

The following bus service diversions will be in place:

Services 1A, 3/3A, 18, 20, 24, 51, 56, 75/76 & 97/98 - Normal to Furnival Gate roundabout, then via Eyre Street to St Mary’s roundabout, third Exit onto St Mary's Gate in outside lane,at next roundabout (bottom of Ecclesall Road), third exit right on to Moore Street then right onto Fitzwilliam Gate (by Atkinsons) where normal stops are observed. From here, normal routes.

Services 81, 82, 83 & 272 - Normal route to Furnival Gate roundabout then along Eyre Street using ES5 (Fire Station) as a pick-up point. Continue to St Mary’s Gate roundabout take the third exit and resume normal at Moore Street roundabout onto Ecclesall Road.

Service X1 - Normal route to Furnival Gate roundabout then along Eyre Street to St Mary’s roundabout, double back onto Eyre Street to resume normal route at Moor Market bus stop.
