Buses will run in Page Hall as normal tonight after suspensions due to vandalism were lifted.

Bus services 38, 75 and 76 were suspended last night (Wednesday) after Travel South Yorkshire cited ‘continuing acts of vandalism

The announcement was made by Travel South Yorkshire, which tweeted tonight: “#Sheffbus 38/75/76 - Due to continuing acts of vandalism at page hall, services will not stop here for the remainder of service.”

But tonight First Bus has announced it is running its services in Page Hall as normal but the firm is working closely with South Yorkshire Police.

A spokesman for First Bus said: “Incidents such as this are rare but where they occur we will always prioritise the safety of our customers and our staff. Diverting services is a last resort and where this is necessary we would return services to the normal route as soon as possible, when safe to do so, to minimise any disruption for customers.

“As in this case we are working with the Police to stop these acts of vandalism and will investigate using CCTV, which is in use on the interior and exterior of buses, to bring these incidents to an end.”
