Burglars tampering with door locks to break into homes in Sheffield
Detectives investigating three burglaries on the same day in Sheffield said door locks were tampered with to gain entry.
The 'snapping' technique involves criminals applying force to door locks to remove the outside part, which exposes the lock mechanism, which can then be tampered with.
Anyone with information on the burglaries, reported by South Yorkshire Police yesterday, should call 101.
