Burglars strike at city homes

A BURGLAR trying to break into a house on Myrtle Road, Lowfield, Sheffield, was foiled when neighbours disturbed him.

In Woodseats burglars broke into an unoccupied property on Cartmel Road, and in Lowedges a house on Atlantic Road was broken into after a door was forced open to gain entry.

Homes were broken into on Carfield Avenue, Meersbrook, and Cambridge Road, Heeley, when windows were forced open.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing a central heating system from an unoccupied flat on Fleury Road, Gleadless Valley.

And four men were arrested in Heeley on suspicion of stealing lead flashing from the roof of a house on Carrfield Court.
