Burglars on the loose in Sheffield

Burglars have been active in Sheffield over recent days, with cash, jewellery, mountain bikes and angling equipment among the items stolen.

Last night jewellery was stolen from Blacka Moor Road, Dore, after a door was forced open to gain entry.

CRIME: Doncaster prisoners with links to gangs could be moved to higher security jailsThat afternoon, jewellery was also stolen from a house on St Andrew's Road, Nether Edge and a mountain bike and angling equipment were taken during two raids on Haslam Crescent, Lowedges.

Yesterday morning a cash and purse were taken during a burglary on Ashland Road, Nether Edge and overnight on Sunday into Monday DVD equipment was stolen from a property on Batemoor Road, Batemoor.

Police officers are also investigating break-ins on Norton Church Road, Norton; Fairleigh, Manor. Shortbrook Drive, Westfield; Framlingham Road, Arbourthorne and Motehall Way, Manor.
