A house was broken into in Gaunt Road, Gleadless Valley, after a window was left unlocked and a house in Lancing Road, Highfield, was raided after a door and window were forced to gain entry.

Two homes in Leighton Drive, Gleadless Valley and others in Carter Road, Heeley and Langdon Street, Sharrow, have also been burgled over recent days.

Tools were stolen when a house under renovation in Priory Road, Nether Edge, was broken into and officers are also investigating a burglary of a gym in Guernsey Road, Heeley and the theft of materials from a building site store in Ryecroft Glen Road, Dore.

A till was stolen from a take-away in Gleadless Road, Gleadless Valley, during another break-in.Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
