Buen Chico, The Harley, tonight

DON'T be fooled by their name this trio of sixth-former types are from Leeds and have just released a mixed bag of an album called Right To Re-Arrange.

Led by tie-wearing guitarist Morgan Tatchell-Evans they juggle skiffle, punk, indie pop, prog rock and a political conscience on some sprightly tunes which have been earning them radio audiences out of Yorkshire.

Rather geekily the name means "good bloke" but was originally taken from George Orwell's Spanish Civil War memoir Homage To Catalonia.

Tonight Morgan, Kirsty Dolan (bass) and Alan Kenworthy (drums) are on Sheffield's Glossop Road with Toaster Razzu and Hey Robot.

Elsewhere Consibrough crooner Tony Christie is at the City Hall as locals Downslide and Breed Of Contempt give Panic Cell a run for their money at Corporation.

And locals The Wallbirds show The Old House (formerly The Halcyon) why they've been signed by Leeds label Dance To The Radio, home to The Pigeon Detectives, who they're about to hit the road with for two months. The Young 'uns and Double No No support.
