Brummie Godfather

Sorry to read that C Beck of Fulwood found series three of Peaky Blinders disappointing.

I enjoyed it immensely. It’s like The Godfather but more Brummie. I can’t wait for series four to find out how the Shelbys avoid the drop.

And I understand a series five has also been commissioned. Keep it coming.

The casting is excellent. Some of them remind me of people I’ve met (only in passing you understand). Tom Hardy as Mr Solomons is superb.

I do agree the plot has thickened a tad since the first series but if you record it you can always review the bits you didn’t get first time round. And, as I found with The Wire, if you aren’t always catching the dialogue you can turn on the subtitles.

Please don’t lose faith.

By order of the Peaky Blinders.
