Brothers raise £1,000

TWO Barnsley brothers got on their bikes to raise more than £1,000 by completing a sponsored 50-mile bike ride.

Daniel Laws, aged 30, from Mapplewell and his younger brother Peter, 29, from Darfield, organised the challenge to raise money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Bear 2 charity appeal.

The brothers cycled with 10 friends and family members, following canal routes from Oldham in Greater Manchester to Wakefield.
