A SHEFFIELD martial arts enthusiast has scooped a prize in a Judo Olympic Dream Team competition

Ben George, who works as a software developer but coaches at the University of Sheffield Judo Club in his spare time, has won bronze in a Judo Olympic Dream Team competition ran by KickSport, a worldwide distributor of judo, taekwondo and karate uniforms and training equipment.

Ben received an Adidas Club judo uniform after winning a second bronze prize - in line with the Olympics where two bronzes are given out to losing semi finalists.

Entrants to the contest were asked to predict which judo players would win the most titles between them during the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Ben said “I am really happy to have won a prize in the competition.

“Having my Dream Team made the Olympic Games a little bit more exciting, although they were exciting enough with two Team GB medals.

Ben is urging people to give the sport a go.
