Counter-terrorism forces in Spain have warned about an "increase in allusions to our country" in worrying propaganda issued by ISIS.
Propaganda videos, subtitled in Spanish and aimed at possible recruits in Spain, have also increased following the arrests of dozens of suspected militants in 2016.
Fears of another attack on holidaymakers have been increased since the devastating Tunisia massacre in June 2015, killing 30 British tourists.
ISIS have also claimed responsibility for killing thousands of people in attacks on Paris, a Christmas market in Berlin and the Bastille Day fireworks in Nice last year.
Both Spain and the UK are currently at level four on the anti-terror alert.
