Bristol Flyers 57 DBL Sheffield Sharks 59: Tuck and Wroblicky earn narrow win

Sharks are now WLWLW through their last five games, but have made it back-to-back road wins and five in their last six against Flyers.

Sharks are the second lowest-scoring team in the league so far this season, and Mike Tuck scored six early points as they won both of the first two quarters by 12-9. Wroblicky took over in the second stanza, scoring six in a row before George Brownell added a three-pointer in what became a 10-0 run as the hosts were scoreless for five minutes and the lead peaked at 22-12.

Flyers found their range after the break, Lovell Cook scoring consecutively, and he also scored in a 7-0 burst later on that was capped by Daniel Edozie’s triple to tie the game at 34.

But Bristol could never quite get in front, as Tuck halted that run immediately. Colin Sing then scored five points in a 7-2 opening to the fourth quarter and Sharks led 45-39, a margin that they held until the final three minutes.

Hameed Ali hit a three-pointer for the Flyers to spark a 7-0 burst in which Leslee Smith scored consecutively to tie the game at 55 with 1.21 to play.

But Tuck was there again with the crucial score, and Sharks managed to hold their hosts off as Kyle Odister scored a late free-throw and Ali missed a chance to tie the game on the buzzer.
