Bring Spring to little park

Have your say

HELP is needed to bring Spring to a pocket park in Sheffield tomorrow.

Volunteers are sought to help transform a new piece of parkland on Hickmott Road, off Ecclesall Road near Sharrowvale Road, from 1pm to 3pm by planting flowers.

Meanwhile in Rotherham a park is set to be protected for all time through the Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge.

The initiative has been organised to provide a lasting legacy of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and Rotherham Council has agreed with residents to nominate the 96-acre Herringthorpe Playing Fields for protection under the scheme.

Sheffield Council has already agreed to nominate playing fields at Woodhouse Mill.
