Bridging gap to contest success

Have your say

engineering students from Sheffield have proved their construction skills are top of the class.

Teams from the Sheffield College of Applied Engineering on Olive Grove Road, Heeley, won awards in a national competition to build a bridge out of just spaghetti and glue.

Students gave up their lunch breaks to work on the design and construction of their bridges for the contest at The University of Sheffield.

One team clinched the best architectural design award and the other team finished as overall runners-up.
