A bride-to-be left devastated when a holiday company cancelled her booking at the last minute has found an alternative hotel.

Tia Chapman, aged 31, was devastated after being told by Alpharooms that her party of 12 has nowhere to stay when they fly to Benidorm on Friday.

The women paid £1,500 in November for a three-night stay, but on Thursday Tia was contacted by the Sheffield-based company to say her booking had been cancelled.

She was told the supplier had cancelled the accommodation because it was a group booking, and it was unclear when she would be getting a refund.

But after four days of phone calls by Tia and her bridesmaid, Kimberley Willmot, Alpharooms has found the party an alternative hotel.

A delighted Tia, of Woodseats, said: "We have finally been provided with an alternative hotel and confirmed the booking."

"I am massively relieved as you can imagine, but so annoyed that it took so much to get them to actually sort it out.

"I think if Kim and I weren't the kind of people to persevere then we would have probably just been left stranded."
