Brexit for a free UK

Around 75 years ago I remember standing around a war memorial as the trumpet sounded out.

It was for the 11th hour of the 11th day and my St John uniform was only covering goose pimples as the morning cold hit me.

The same scene will be there as others stand around memorials thanking those who lay down their lives to protect our shores so that we may have a free life.

Brexit was a vote to begin a new life and now America has chosen to do the same.

There will be no moaning about small margins of defeat, no Nick Clegg clinging to any lifeline thrown from the sinking ship.

How different our failed politicians to their counterparts in America who say they will pull together to make the country great again.

Donald Trump pulled no punches as he said it in front of the Democrats the elite.
