Brewers' deal with Knights

RUGBY Union fans are raising a glass to brewers Carlsberg Tetley who have signed a six-figure supply and sponsorship deal for three years with Doncaster Knights.

The Knight’s Castle Park ground is now the third highest liquor outlet in the brewers’Doncaster area and the sponsorship deal has been nearly a year in negotiation.

James Criddle, chief executive of Doncaster Knights, said: “We see this as a key supply and sponsorship agreement with a multi-national company that has a proven track record at the highest level of professional sport.

“It is a measure of the increasing profile of the Knights as a professional sports team in the higher echelons of national rugby.”
