BREAKING: Young woman charged with murdering man in South Yorkshire flat

A woman, aged 18, has been charged with murder following a stabbing in a South Yorkshire flat.

A man was killed in an attack in Denaby Main on Wednesday

Megan Sambrook, of Wadworth Street, Denaby Main, Doncaster, is accused of killing an 18-year-old man, named locally as Lewis Guest.

South Yorkshire Police said they were called to a flat on Wednesday afternoon, where an injured man was found.

He was rushed to hospital but could not be saved.

A post mortem examination revealed he had been stabbed.

Sambrook is due to appear at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court today.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Emergency services were called at around 2.30pm on Wednesday to reports an 18-year-old man had been assaulted in flats off Wadworth Street, Denaby Main.

"He was taken to hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead.

"A forensic post mortem examination concluded he died from a stab wound.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
