Two young men arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Darnall have been released on bail.

Mohammed Khalil, 42, was taken to hospital after he was found with serious injuries at his flat in Greenland Drive, at around 1am on Tuesday October 21.

He died a short time later.

A post mortem examination revealed he died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

Police say two 20-year-old men arrested earlier this week on suspicion of murder have now been released on bail.

A 40-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of an offensive weapon remains on police bail.

Connor O’Brien, 26, of Jubilee Road, Sheffield, has been charged with Mr Khalil’s murder.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday November 7.
