A 35-year-old man has been hospitalised, and a 41-year-old man has been arrested following a suspected stabbing in a Doncaster village this morning.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "A report was received this morning of an altercation on Shadyside in Hexthorpe.
"A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital with suspected stab wounds, not believed to be life threatening.
"A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and is currently in police custody being questioned by officers."
Super Indt Neil Thomas told the Free Press that both men involved in the incident are believed to be of Latvian descent.
