BREAKING: Hunt for arsonist after house badly damaged in Rotherham blaze

Police say they are treating an early-morning fire at an empty property in Rotherham as suspicious.

The incident started at about 5.20am this morning on Far Lane, East Dene.

Fire crews were on scene for around two hours dealing with the blaze. 

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said the property had suffered extensive damage but no one had been inside.
