ENVIRONMENT Agency bosses have this morning removed the flood alert from a section of the River Don through Doncaster.
Officials have removed the alert for the middle catchment area of the river, which covers the section from Conisbrough through to Sprotbrough.
A spokesman for Doncaster Council said: “The situation is improving and no further flooding is expected in this area.”
River levels have reached their highest and are now expected to fall, but water may be in fields and in low lying areas for several days.
There are still two flood alerts in place in Doncaster, for the River Don lower catchment and the River Idle at Bawtry.
A flood alert means flooding is possible, and low lying lands and roads will be affected first.
