BREAKING: Fighter jets scrambled to intercept airliner over UK
RAF and Belgian fighter jets were this morning scrambled to intercept an aircraft over the North Sea.
The RAF Typhoons escorted the flight - from Bucharest - to Birmingham Airport.
The plane landed at the Midlands airport at 7.30am this morning.
At this stage the reasons for the incident are unknown.
