A man has died after his silver Hyundai Trajet struck bollards in Tickhill, Doncaster, this morning.
Emergency services were called to St Mary’s Gate at 5.45am today which led to the closure of some roads in Tickhill. The man, in his early 50s, was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary where he died a short time later. It is understood a medical condition may have caused the accident.
Police do not believe any other vehicles were involved in this incident. The roads were re-opened just before 9am.
* The road between Bentley and Arksey, near Doncaster, was closed this afternoon after a crash on the East Coats main line level crossing.
Police say a van hit the barriers when they were down but the vehicle went off the track and there was no impact with the train.
It is not yet known what happened to the van driver. No other vehicles were involved and railway police are investigating.
