BREAKING: Crowle man arrested on suspicion of armed robbery
A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a suspected armed robbery at a Crowle supermarket.

The incident happened between 9.20 and 9.30pm on Wednesday, July 29 at Tesco Express in Crowle High Street.
The suspect, who was believed to have been armed with a knife, is said to have approached the store, put on a full face balaclava and approached a female member of staff who was working on the till.
He then threatened the woman and demanded cash, which she handed over and he left the store.
It is believed he then turned left into an alley, cut through an open gate and into Cross Street.

Despite an extensive search by the armed response team and police helicopter, the suspect has not been traced.
He is described as white, 6ft 2” tall, with light brown hair that he wore spiked at the front.
His complexion was said to be pale and he had acne.
He wore a brown padded jacket, with a paler brown top half and arms and black tracksuit bottoms.
A 35-year-old Crowle man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
