South Yorkshire Police said the youngster got caught up in a disturbance on the car park outside the Big Apple play centre, Old Sheffield Road, Canklow, between 11.15am and 11.30am on Sunday, June 3.

APPEAL: Absconded prisoner from Doncaster still on the runThe force spokesman said: "Police investigating a reported altercation at a children’s play centre in Rotherham last month are appealing for witnesses to come forward as enquiries continue.

"Between 11.15am and 11.30am on Sunday, June 3, police were called to reports of a large group of people fighting in the car park of the Big Apple Play City children’s play centre on Old Sheffield Road, Canklow.

"As a result of the incident a number of people, including a five-year-old boy, suffered minor injuries.

"No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.

"Were you in the area at the time, or were you at the play centre? Did you witness the altercation?"
