Boy, 12, is hit by car

A SCHOOLBOY was injured when he was clipped by a car which failed to stop near Doncaster town centre.

Police are seeking witnesses to the collision that occurred on Bennetthorpe about 8.05am on Tuesday September 18.

The 12-year-old boy was crossing Bennetthorpe near the Post Office when he was caught on the ankle by a small white car which caused him to fall to the ground.

He sustained grazing to his face and hands but the car did not stop and no other details of the car are known.
