AN eleven-year-old boy was left with serious injuries after a collision with a car in Barnsley.
The incident happened on Tuesday, May 22, on Grange Lane, Barnsley.
Police said at around 7.19pm, the youngster from Barnsley was crossing Grange Lane, near its junction with Bank Street when he was hit by a silver BMW 320 being driven by a 23-year-old woman from Barnsley.
Police said reports suggested the boy stepped out from the nearside pavement and collided with the vehicle.
He suffered a broken leg and a head injury and is being treated at Barnsley District General hospital.
Witnesses should call police on 101 quoting incident 1024 of May 22.
